fuel and tuning issues

well, im new to this site, i have been quietly lurking and i have notice there is alot of wisdom around here.

my story starts with, i bought a Vortech air to air S/C marauder a month 1/2 ago. i live in Gainesville FL, so my first option was to take it to the gentleman who installed the supercharger on it. the car was and still is throwing the ( fuel rail press sensor code at WOT) and that ='s danger for my oem block.i took it to Reinhart's and we installed a new belt and dyno tuned it. i told him to do a check up on the car and to tell me if anything was abnormal while he was datalogging.

At the dynojet the first pull the car made 7rwhp less than it did 27k miles go, wich was 452rwhp to 445rwhp. then he detuned it to 439 on the second pull. and toldme everything was ok.

after a week i made a few wot pull on an empty road nd at about 110mph the (FRPS) code came on again. i learned to datalog the car and found the fuel rail press dropped and stayed at 28psi at wot. it does it everytime i go wot.i haven got on the car ever since.

my thoughts are that it should have seen that while datalogging the car.
and thanks to a few members of sunshine state marauders i found out that he installed a longer belt in the car, making the tensioner not do its job and also by that matter the S/C is not working at its best.
thats $500 later.

the car has dual svt focus fuel pumps. it has 12.1 vdc at the pump at wot while the fuel press at the rails are 28psi.

can anyone pitch in some helping info about my problem?
thanks

Mr Reinhart has been installing the wrong size belts since 2003, so that doesnt surprise me.

As for your fuel problem, one of a few things is happening:

-You have one bad pump
-Both pumps work but the socks are mashed against the bottom of the tank (I seriously doubt he has a jig to put the fuel pump assembly in when he mods them)
-A line on one pump has come off.

For those mods, a single GT pump with a BAP is the best route and leves the least room for error.

Good luck with your fix.

as for the fuel issue, today im going to try and run a bigger gauge wire to the pump with a 30am relay.
has anyone done this before?
if you did, any pointers to look at?
thanks

that is not your issue, a single ford GT pump even without a BAP with stock wires is enough for your power lvl. Something is clogged, disconnected, or gone bad. Maybe the FRPS has even gone bad. I'd check things before adding other things that you don't need.

like well checked frps its good, before anything i will make sure there is no disconnected lines before i go ahead with the wiring.
at this point i have no funds available for a change in pumps and a BAP.

the focus pumps have worked before, but i know what you mean, definately the gt pump is far suerior.
thanks

If you're making 9 psi of boost, your fuel pressure at that instance should be at least 48 psi or risk leaning the motor out.

You should datalog the Fuel pump & injector Duty Cycle and see where they're at as far as capacity.

Your FPRS code could also be from the tune not having some scalers corrected for the supercharger installed if everything else is ok.

well i datalogged the car after i installed a smaller size belt, and did the zack fuel filter mod, at wot from 25mph to 70mph the voltage at the pump never went passed 9.1vcd, and the fuel rail line press went down to 24psi (again) and stayed there all the way till i lifted my foot off the throttle. the voltage at the pump has been 12.1 vdc while the press has gone to 24 psi on previous dataloggin.
i also datalogged the fuel pump duty cycle and it showed 0.4899999 at WOT. i dont know how much percentage that is.
can anyone explain that to me?
im i doing something wrong

looks like 50% duty, it may be something wrong with the scales in your tune. How did you test the FPRS?
